Production Line in a New Building
General Contractors
Initial Situation
The customer was often obliged to turn down orders since he had neither the machines nor the space to manufacture certain sizes. Orders that were taken could only be processed by employing additional resources and taking extra time. The decision to erect a new building complete with new machines was taken in consultation with the customer. The incorporation of both upstream and downstream production stages had to be taken into account. Apart from reducing throughput times, the objective was to minimize processing times and handling distances despite the addition of a new factory hall.Key Parameters
